Ready… Set… Play! Supporting School Readiness through Play

Did you know that when your children are playing they are actually learning? What’s more, when preschoolers engage in “pretend play” they develop all kinds of important skills that prepare them to enter kindergarten ready to learn reading, writing, math, science and more. So how can you help your children get ready to start school? Encourage them to play —or better yet, play with them!
